Things to do
We've put together a list of fun activities, places to eat, and things to see while everyone is out on Long Island for the wedding. Over the course of the weekend, there will be time for breakfasts, lunches, brunches, a drink or two, a nice walk, some shopping, or some beach time.
Harmony Vineyards
Harmony Vineyards, located less than a mile away from the Three Village Inn, offers a historic waterfront tasting room, small plates, beer and wine. Sip something tasty and take in the views.
avalon park & preserve
Avalon Park & Preserve is a beautiful nature preserve within walking distance of The Three Village Inn and a very quick ride from the Hilton Garden Inn. Gorgeous trails, lovely spots for pictures, and organized activities including yoga classes and star gazing are all available.
Stony brook village shops
Across the street from the Three Village Inn and a very short drive from the Hilton Garden Inn, check out the shops in Stony Brook Village. In addition to shops including Crabtree & Evelyn, Cottontails Children Shop, Flair Boutique, Jos. A. Bank, Chico's and LOFT, there is a salon and barber shop, Crazy Beans coffee shop, Brew Cheese (a unique beer and cheese eatery), The Crushed Olive, Chocolate Works and other eateries.
Se-Port Delicatessen
Have a life-changing sandwich at the legendary Se-Port Delicatessen, about halfway between Port Jefferson and Stony Brook in Setauket, NY. Anything with a chicken cutlet is amazing, but the Boon, Gasm, and Seawolf are some of our favorites. Se-Port is cash only and for those with big appetites.
Port Jeff brewing Company
Enjoy some small batch craft beers in a cool tasting room with nautical vibes in Port Jefferson Village. Walking distance from the church and a variety of awesome downtown shops, bars, and eateries.
Locals
A relative newcomer to the Port Jeff food scene, Locals serves awesome coffee and has a fresh menu of delicious breakfast and lunch items.
Tiger Lily cafe
Tiger Lily is an awesome sandwich shop and alternative eatery in Port Jefferson Village with a selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. A great lunch spot with a funky feel.
Salsa Salsa
Salsa Salsa is a casual burrito bar in downtown Port Jefferson. Super authentic and delicious, grab some to go and eat it on the docks or in Harbor Front Park. We love the fish tacos.
Port Jefferson Village
While we highlight a couple of special places to check out above, Port Jefferson Village has so much more to offer. In addition to the Port Jeff Brewery, Locals, Salsa Salsa and Tiger Lily, we recommend you get brunch at Toast, an ice cream cone at Snow White's in Chandler Square, some chocolate covered almonds at the Frigate, a lobster roll at the Steam Room, or a fancy dinner at Pasta Pasta. Away from the food, check out the Amazing Olive, the Knitting Cove, and many of the other awesome shops downtown.
